Taste testing in Italian Lessons
We learnt that the Italian name for fairy floss is zucchero filato! 
Not all of us had tasted fairy floss so Sandra bought us some to share.
Meeting the firefighters
Last week we had a visit from the firefighters. We learnt what to do in case of a fire. We have to have a special meeting place to go to near home in case of a fire. We leant that,if we were in a fire we had to STOP, DROP AND CRAWL. We need to stay down low!!

Playing in the sandpit
On Tuesday we used the sandpit to explore the concept of capacity. We filled different sized containers and predicted which one would hold more sand.

Subitizing numbers to 10
We had to match numbers and collections. We realized that there were more than one way to make a number. We worked in pairs to complete the task.

St.Theresa's Feast Day
On Friday we celebrated St. Theresa's Feast Day with Mother of God school. We went to mass together and participated in lots of fun activities. We made a special wreath because St. Theresa was called the little flower.
Responsible Pet Ownership.
In our Inquiry unit this term we are learning how to look after and care for pets. We had a special guest speaker 'Maria' who came to visit us with her dog Elsie. Maria taught us so many things about looking after pet dogs.

Mathematics
Sharon found some magic beans and we were able to share 10 of them with a partner.
We completed a chart to show how we made 10 by throwing up our beans and discovering how many landed on the white and silver sides.
We are so very clever.
